These Scriptures provide no soft cushions, no room for convenient self-deception. They reveal holy living not as polite adherence or external performance, but as the radical, Spirit-wrought crucifixion of self, a profound and costly setting apart unto God Himself. This is an active, internal transformation, demanding relentless conformity to His unapproachable standard, not seeking comfort or human applause, but the terrifying beauty of His approval. It is the uncomfortable, daily dying to the world and the flesh, fueled by divine grace yet requiring our unwavering, obedient surrender. Read them again, and ask: is this the costly holiness marking your life, or merely a cheap imitation?
