Who was [the son] of Enos, who was [the son] of Seth, who was [the son] of Adam, who was [the son] of God.
And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son, and called his name Seth: For God, [said she], hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat [a son] in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way [that is] not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Forget not the voice of thy enemies: the tumult of those that rise against thee increaseth continually.

He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, [where there is] no way.
To the upright there ariseth light in darkness: [he is] gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
He causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
Who executeth judgment for the oppressed: who giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
The LORD openeth [the eyes of] the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
He that gathereth in summer [is] a wise son: [but] he that sleepeth in harvest [is] a son that causeth shame.
As the whirlwind passeth, so [is] the wicked no [more]: but the righteous [is] an everlasting foundation.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.
Whoever despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
Poverty and shame [shall be to] him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honored.
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren.

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth food to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
But I say to you, That whoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of lewdness, causeth her to commit adultery: and whoever shall marry her that is divorced, committeth adultery.
Yet he hath not root in himself, but endureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, forthwith he is offended.
For God commanded, saying, Honor thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
Wherefore, if thy hand or thy foot causeth thee to sin, cut them off, and cast [them] from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire.
