Make thee an ark of gopher-wood: rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
And this [is the fashion] in which thou shalt make it: the length of the ark [shall be] three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the hight of it thirty cubits.
A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in its side: [with] lower, second, and third [stories] shalt thou make it.

In the same day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark.
And the flood was forty days upon the earth: and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it was lifted above the earth.
And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth: and the ark moved upon the face of the waters.
And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping animals, and the fowl of heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth; and Noah only remained [alive], and they that [were] with him in the ark.
And God remembered Noah, and every living animal, and all the cattle that [were] with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters were checked.
And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark; for the waters [were] on the face of the whole earth. Then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in to him into the ark.
And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first [month], the first [day] of the month, the waters were dried from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dry.
Every beast, every creeping animal, and every fowl, [and] whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went out of the ark.
And with every living creature that [is] with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you, from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
And the sons of Noah that went forth from the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham [was] the father of Canaan.
And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash [herself] at the river, and her maidens walked along by the river's side: and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
And thou shalt put the staffs into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.
And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment to the children of Israel.

And the LORD said to Moses, Speak to Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy [place] within the vail, before the mercy-seat, which [is] upon the ark; that he may not die: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy-seat.
And their charge [shall be] the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the hanging, and all the service of it.
And when the camp moveth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
And when Moses had entered into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking to him from off the mercy-seat that [was] upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubim: and he spoke to him.
And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to seek a resting-place for them.
And it came to pass, when the ark moved forward, that Moses said, Arise, LORD, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
But they presumed to go up to the hill-top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.
And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou didst break, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.
At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
